may post

i guess its realli down to monthly posts from now on. losing the urge to blog i guess.

i’m now clearing leave, now dat our unit assessment for stage 1 is over. relieved n proud of our achievements. bought some cds to treat myself for the hard work n the stressful month.

visited sji on fri, 2 may wif friends. its been awhile since i went back. abit more than a year n a half? the school has not changed much, though details change. the most obvious being the chapel stained glass, a replica of the old one, being, alas only a replica, nothing more. then i also tried to go into the fencing clubroom, but haha, they changed the locks. the school has more paintings around now, especially around the art block. n yes, my paintings r displayed in a prominent location in the admin block too. the standard for art has definitely increased over the years. kudos to the art department!

went to see teachers, n mrs tan also. had a good chat n she sent me an sms after i left:

“Nice of u to come back to visit. Very encouraging to hear that you think the artworks around school are nice. Sometimes i get bored doing the same things. But seeing you all grown up and still have nice things to say about Sji reminds me of my mission here. thank u, my most ‘famous’ student. I remember you not because of uob, but on how grounded you are, despite the ‘fame’ you enjoyed:-)”

touched. always honoured to have her as my teacher. n honoured to have been told these words by a teacher.

these few days have seen an increase in artistic activity.. work progresses on my ord painting. n i still wonder how it will look like in the end. anyhow, i still have another year, n wallaby, to get inspiration. feel like a civilian these days once again.

looking forward to booking in tonight though, n seeing all those familiar faces, n doing my much-needed pt tmr morning. n in the weeks to come, ndp preparations!
