-+the world as i noe it is changing+-

yesterdae as usual went for the saturdae excursion wif sean. met him n his mother at 1030 for novena then we went for long lunch at src. n as usual me n sean chit chat chit chat...until 3. there must haf been a trillion conversions we had n i cannot think of any stuff we’ve not touched on. yesterdae talk talk...n dong noe how talk until bout our baptism name. oh ya if u all dong noe, my baptism name is john.

the name alvin’s kinda like an ‘official’ name that my parents gave me. according to them, alvin is not a christian name, coz unlike many other names which haf names that have their origins stemming from bible characters or famous saints, alvin means in old english, “elf-friend”.

todae morning as usual. church, then lunch at boon lay wif mother. father not in s’pore, went kl. rest of the dae was napping n in the waking hrs, translating the scores for the coming chinese new yr mass from the numbers form to the tau gay form. very tedious. but this kinda thing has to b done. i just don’t feel safe playing straight from the number’s version...not used to it still. but i have to sae this yr’s hymms r quite nice, n i’m determined to to my best n make the music component of the mass the best yet. i hope.

father tou, the only celebrant for chinese mass, is leaving holy family for another parish. so this yr’s cny’s mass will b the last one we’ll have wif him, this chinese mass thing which has been going on for yrs will probably b discontinued after father tou leaves coz the other priests there cannot do mandarin. sad huh. but anyways, since this chinese new year’s mass will b the last chinese mass in holy family, i’m determined to do my utmost best to give father tou n the chinese mass itself the sendoff it deserves. make it a memorable experience for the chinese-speaking catholic community that attends this chinese mass.
