haiyo wad a long long day. the dae shd have ended at double bp, but to my horror no...it was only still 2. there was still maths....n art. maths teacher really give us so much wk to do la. shes supposed to go thru integration tutorial tmw already....n i still dong noe head or tail of wads goin on in maths. haiz...n feeling too tired to revise todae.
art lesson was surprisingly gd. all we did was watch movie song bo. its a documentary on mr lee’s ou xiang, a famous art-maker called bill viola. he’s very pro at making these thought-provoking video sequences n installations, n he’s quite inspiring. at least i felt i learnt something.
u noe i always asked myself wad distinguishes great art of the masters from just art done by a student. i always told myself that art is subjective so there’s no real difference in art produced by a pro when compared to some wadever joker. then it took me some while to realize that there is a difference. theres a way to tell bet a work of a student n that of a mature artist. i think my this theory applies to painting, at least. subject matter or technique of the painting doesn’t matter. what matters, is the artist’s ability to arrest n engage the viewer. one glance n the person will sae, hey this shit is not superficial. n he’s interested to identify the unspoken quality the work n his emotions when seeing it. now that maketh a masterpiece.

wa lau really beginning to sound like senile old man. probably a result of seeing too much of that grey toot. n kudos to the rain la. dong noe where can get so much rain one...raining continuous for like the whole day already la. now outside it seems to have stopped awhile but probably will start raining again later tonight. feel like sleeping.
