welcome 2006!
I’m back. Happy new year to all, although this is coming alittle too late.
I had a wonderful new year celebration at baiduri, though I think last year’s countdown was alittle more lively, this year’s gathering was equally gd. We and cousins all played taboo, formed into two teams, sji and ij, and of course sji won la. But I acknowledge the girls were gd too…see this is sportsmanship. Winning gracefully :)
Then stayed the night at sean’s house again. Played monopoly til 2am first. the s’pore version. Nao hia I lose until like siao. He bought over the most expensive property, u noe the one wif the blue bars…in the s’pore version they’re called asian civilizations museum and parliament house. n he build like 3 houses on each somemore. Everytime u step on it u pay like 3000 over..i stepped on it 3 times suay suay first 2 still survive, mortgaged half of my property the last one was killer, n altho still got chance to survive, I declare myself the loser b4 I die a slow painful death n have nightmares after that…..imagine losing ur first game on new yrs dae…dam bu ji li right? Ya 2006’s goin to b tough. Painful, stressful..just hell.
Sunday woke up at 8 then both of us changed n went to mass at olps. Wha lau Sunday whole dae rain. The signs r all there man. 2006’s goin to b bad…but I shd b more optimistic. If I keep on saying bad that it will really b bad. So anyway…olps was very very nice. the design and the mass and all is sui sui tock gong. So much nicer than holy family. Even I also heard that the parish priests there r very warm n friendly….ya cd tell.
After that went next door there (but still at siglap) to eat the mee pok wif sean and aunty justina and uncle gerard . Dam solid. The kick is in the chilli and the chilli’s hot. Really hot. But very gd stuff. Pleasurable pain. Then went suntec to buy food like the pie and the ice cream for later.
After that went back, rehearsed the baptism songs and me n sean and all his relatives were off for the baptism. N just outside holy family there saw lynette lim. What a surprise. Ahya but baptism goin to start soon and I need to rehearse the songs so didn’t bother talking to her.
The baptism was ok in general. though I think I screwed up my playing…though everybody said that it was gd/not bad/ok. but they said I cdn’t hear my own playing..so must b a sign that the co-ordination was bad….from my side cdn’t hear them sing anyway. So generally, musically speaking it was bad.
Then went back sean’s grandparent’s place ate abit of their bee hoon, sit around awhile, chat wif sean’s cousins….the brownie that sean’s aunty made was solid stuff…n me n charmaine got really engrossed in talking abt spain…think she got a better impression of me after that. N sean’s grandpa even gave me hongbao….thank u so much. Really appreciate it. Well I appreciate their company too.
After that daddy came to pick me up from baiduri there while stopping over at sean’s place to grab my stuff, n we were off to dinner at nearby the joo heng tze char stall there. Waited quite long…apparently they extend and extend their number of tables until the cook cannot cope. But eventually when the food came, the wait was worth it. Excellent food. Especially the tau hu. Came back dam tired….but bathe already didn’t feel so bad…slept at 11+
N today was lazing around. Re-watched pirates of the Caribbean. Excellent show. Soundtrack’s awesome. The plot’s gd too. Really enjoyed it. First time I saw it I felt it wasn’t as nice. my taste probably has improved. Also was doing the write-ups for solo exhibition catalogue. finished it already. n scanning in some of the remaining sketches from my sketchbook to include in the catalogue
So solo exhibition preparation is truly complete after I tied up all these loose ends. All that remains is burn them into cd and pass to uob.
N holiday hw is still untouched….dam la so fast sch reopen already. And our new ct sent us a mail telling us the timetable for tmw n that we must prepare for lectures “which go at breakneck speed”….the thought of it is dam sian la. Hope they at least relax a while for just the first week to give me time to complete my holiday hw. I dong even noe what hw we have to do lar. How jia lat is that. Nvm tmw go to sch n ask jon.
Off to pack my back and sleep. Night night.
