purple light
dis week seemed so long yet so somehow so short. sit test was hell. almost died during the 12k route march to the sit test grounds. route marches r one of the most mentally n physically draining exercises i’ve experienced in bmt. as the last platoon in the company, its an added psychological thing to see never-ending rows after rows of men marching in front of u toward wad seems to b a never-ending road. look to ur left right n front n u’ll see strays from earlier platoons falling behind n u can realli hong gan.
lpv, rifle, air-con helmet and ur ass of a field pack straining onto ur shoulders....throw in the heat, the never-endingness of it all, n the question of when ur next rest will come beating in ur head..... u’ll realli b tested to beyond ur human limits. its one march i’ll remember when i stand in the parade square in my smart 4 on graduation day thinking back abt my bmt experience.
the missions in the sit test were ok, but dis is not to say we weren't challenged. wad realli killed us was the weather again. by 10am it was so hot u can literally fry an egg. n by noon my combat rations tasted 10 times better than usual coz it was like oven baked in the sun (no sarcasm here)....washed down wif naturally boiled water from ur green water bottle...sit test made the day feel super long, but its realli something u'll neva experience as a cv.
once again it feels so nice to book out. n it feels so nice to noe dat once sit test over, there’s realli nothing much to worry abt til graduation. all in all, our out field experience taught us one thing. “the world is cruel n men are selfish” the oc’s classic words. haha priceless.
onli one new thing. the commanders stopped confining pple coz they realized dat the confinement quota for the entire company has already been reached haha.
i’m sitting here thinking of something else other than army to talk abt n i can’t realli think of anything. so lame can. my brain is soaked wif army inside out. i’m off for my well deserved rest. night pple.
